As a Business Broker with Twelve31 Advisors, you will support the small business community and help entrepreneurs buy and sell remarkable companies. Our firm represents small to lower-middle-market-sized companies with revenues ranging from $500,000 to $10 million across diverse industries. We need business-savvy professionals who believe in supporting small owners nationwide.

The Advisor’s role will draw upon an individual’s capabilities in sales, marketing, financial analysis, management, and negotiations. The position requires persistence, a highly organized approach, and a consistently positive attitude. You must have high ethical and professional standards, be a confident, creative problem-solver, and a creative team player. Although the position requires both sales/marketing and financial skills, the qualities of an honest, effective salesperson are the most critical for success in this industry.

As a Business Broker you will:

  • Work directly with Business Owners, Lawyers, CPAs, Bankers, and Buyers
  • Act as an intermediary in the sale of the business between all parties
  • Manage inbound seller leads
  • Actively participate in business development creating brand awareness and referrals
  • Manage due diligence documentation and process
  • Operate with utmost confidentiality and integrity

Our ideal candidate:

  • Must be located in the United States
  • Has business transactional experience- 3 years + and knows how to get a deal to the finish line (Business Brokerage / M&A experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong phone skills
  • Proven past success in sales or business development role
  • Works well remotely and is self-motivated
  • Embraces technology in a virtual office environment
  • Has been, or is currently, a small business owner
  • Is an entrepreneurial, charismatic team player with a real desire to build a successful career

Technical Skills and Qualifications;

  • Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to Business Brokerage, Business owners, Corporate managers, Business Development, Financial Advisor, Attorney, Accountant, CFP, General Management, Commercial Real Estate or Development, and Commercial or Small Business Banking.
  • Broad understanding of Finance, Business, and Business Valuation
  • Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
  • Excellent client-facing sales experience
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Self-Motivation and organization
  • Problem-solving ability in unique situations
  • Patience, persistence, and integrity
  • Must be able to pass a full background check
